Kelly King has joined Heartbreaker – America’s Tribute to Pat Benatar as their new drummer.

Bio – Drummer Kelly King has performed with such diverse artists as Rihanna, Dwight Yoakam, Sheryl Crow, Macy Gray, and many more.

He stipulates that touring the world and performing at famed venues like Red Rocks, LA’s Greek Theater, and others has instilled within him an eternal respect for the music artists who came before him. While he’s well versed in a variety of musical genres, he confirms that Rock & Roll is where he feels most at ease and most inspired.

“There’s only two kinds of music; good and bad.” he notes. It’s obvious from watching him perform that the music of Pat Benatar and her acclaimed band has left a powerful impression on Kelly; one which he uses to propel Heartbreaker- America’s Tribute to Pat Benatar to thrilling heights.

“I am thrilled to join Heartbreaker – America’s Tribute to Pat Benatar and the fantastic musicians in the band. It gives me a chance to pay homage to one of rock & roll’s most charismatic and talented drummers, Myron Grombacher.” say’s King.

Heartbreaker – America’s Tribute to Pat Benatar is moving full steam ahead with booking dates and unfortunately, we knew that Jamie Smith wouldn’t be able to do them all with his career, family and his side business. Jamie is a fabulous drummer and even better human being, but he won’t be far. He will be filling in from time to time when necessary. He is and always will be part of the Heartbreaker family. We are so grateful for the time he has put into this project and the love he shown towards it.

Kelly’s first show with the band will be on March 2nd at the Granada Theatre with Barracuda – America’s Heart Tribute.
